# AllTrails ASO audit worksheet

Use alongside https://www.asoagency.com/briefs/alltrails. Published copy proposals are hypotheses, not tested outcomes.

## Define your scope

- App and listing URL:
- Store, territory, language and device:
- Observation date and reviewer:
- Visitor intent and source:

## Your ASO assignment

1. Verify one route example and the meaning of every displayed distance, elevation and time field.
2. Walk through current download completion and offline reopening, recording feature and plan limits.
3. Compare catalogue-first and detail-first concepts using preparation and expectation questions.

## Keep evidence separate from judgment

For each of your first three screenshots record: source URL, capture date, visible content, interpretation and proposed action. Identify the material that must remain unchanged.

## Review the proposed copy

Name: AllTrails: Hike, Bike & Run
Subtitle: Find trails. Plan your route.

Reasoning: Keep the existing activity-rich name and shift the subtitle toward the discovery and planning actions shown in the creative. It avoids making an unqualified offline or navigation-reliability promise.

Tradeoff: The alternative removes explicit GPS, hiking, biking and trail-map wording from the subtitle, although activities remain in the name. Actual query relevance must justify that trade; descriptive planning copy is not automatically a stronger search choice.

Your alternative subtitle:

What would make the result inconclusive:

## Handover

Include the original listing snapshot, source links, dated review sample and selection method, competitor observations, copy decisions, approved creative, test brief and remaining evidence gaps.

## Evidence still needed in this audit

- Current route-data provenance, condition timestamps and estimate definitions.
- Verified download, entitlement and offline feature behaviour.
- Conversion baseline and planning-intent research by visitor segment.
