# Khan Academy ASO audit worksheet

Use alongside https://www.asoagency.com/briefs/khan-academy. Published copy proposals are hypotheses, not tested outcomes.

## Define your scope

- App and listing URL:
- Store, territory, language and device:
- Observation date and reviewer:
- Visitor intent and source:

## Your ASO assignment

1. Check which website capabilities your education app actually supports on mobile.
2. Storyboard one topic-to-practice-to-progress journey with verified screens.
3. Define an acquisition test without equating downloads with learning outcomes.

## Keep evidence separate from judgment

For each of your first three screenshots record: source URL, capture date, visible content, interpretation and proposed action. Identify the material that must remain unchanged.

## Review the proposed copy

Name: Khan Academy
Subtitle: Free lessons and math practice

Reasoning: Retain the brand and give the subtitle a concrete entry job grounded in the listing’s free learning proposition and visible maths example. The wording is a testable focus, not a claim that maths is the only valuable subject.

Tradeoff: The current mission is broader and emotionally recognisable. A maths-led subtitle could discourage science or humanities visitors, so validate the intent mix before narrowing the default message.

- Subject, learner-level and acquisition-source mix.
