ASO agencies in Pakistan · September 2026

ASO agency Pakistan: the Fiverr floor of the industry, and the few real practitioners under it.

Pakistan is where the cheapest ASO on earth is sold. Fiverr and Upwork are full of Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad sellers offering keyword research for ten dollars, full ‘ASO optimisation’ for fifty, and guaranteed rankings for a hundred. Most of it is a tool export with a template. Some of it is genuinely skilled work by people who learned the stores properly and are underpriced by the market around them. Here is how to tell the difference, and why an agency label changes nothing.

Thinking about a Pakistani ASO agency or freelancer? Let me explain the floor.

Gabriel Machuret · September 2026

Every industry has a price floor, and in App Store Optimisation the floor is Pakistan. Search Fiverr for ASO and the first page is Lahore and Karachi: keyword research for ten dollars, a ‘complete ASO package’ for fifty, guaranteed top-ten rankings for a hundred and fifty. Search for a Pakistani ASO agency and you get the same sellers with a company name and a WordPress site. I want to be fair about what this is, because it is two very different things wearing the same price tag.

The first thing is the tool export. A seller with a subscription to a keyword tool runs your app through it, exports the suggestions, pastes them into a spreadsheet, writes a description around them, and delivers it with the word ‘optimised’. It takes an hour. It is worth about what it costs. The keywords are the tool’s guesses, not a category read; the description is stuffed; the screenshots, if included, are a Canva template. Nothing in it is a decision about your listing, and a listing without decisions does not rank.

The second thing, buried under the first, is the genuinely skilled freelancer. Pakistan has a real pool of people who learned ASO properly, often by working as the delivery team for Western agencies, and who are underpriced because the market around them is priced by the tool exporters. If you find one, you have found excellent execution at a fraction of the cost. The problem is that they look identical to the tool exporters on a gig listing, and the only way to tell them apart is to ask questions the exporters cannot answer.

The third thing is the guarantee. ‘Guaranteed top-ten ranking’ at a hundred and fifty dollars can only mean incentivised installs, purchased reviews or rating campaigns. Pakistan, like several markets on this site, has a supply of the accounts and devices that run them. The ranking arrives, the retention collapses, the stores discount the signal, and the developer account that carries the risk is yours, not the seller’s. A hundred-and-fifty-dollar guarantee is the most expensive thing on the market once you count the account.

The agency label changes none of this. A Pakistani ‘ASO agency’ is a freelancer with a company name and, sometimes, two or three subcontractors. That is not a criticism; small is often better. It does mean the agency wrapper adds nothing except a slightly higher price and a slightly longer proposal. Judge the person, not the letterhead.

So here is the honest use of the market. If you already know what your listing should say, if you have the decision layer, whether that is you, an in-house lead, or a consultant, a skilled Pakistani freelancer is among the best-value execution on earth for keyword research runs, localisation coordination and screenshot production to a brief. If you do not have the decision layer, the floor sells you a tool export, and no quantity of tool exports adds up to a decision.

Against the floor: one consultant who provides the decision layer and hands you a brief. The teardown, the claim, the keyword architecture, the test plan, with dates. Then hire the execution from Lahore if you like; I will tell you the questions that separate the real practitioners from the exporters. Send me the gig you are looking at and I will tell you which one it is.

01 — What you will actually find when you search

What the first page of results actually contains
01

The tool exporter

Ten-dollar keyword research, fifty-dollar ‘full ASO’. An hour with a tool subscription and a spreadsheet.

02

The guarantee seller

Top-ten rankings for a hundred and fifty dollars. Incentivised installs. Your account carries the risk.

03

The freelancer with a company name

An ‘agency’ that is one person and two subcontractors. Judge the person.

04

The Western agency’s delivery team

Where a surprising amount of London and Sydney execution actually happens.

05

The genuinely skilled practitioner

Real, underpriced, and indistinguishable from the exporters on a gig listing until you ask the right questions.

06

The software house with a marketing tab

Built your app, would like to build the next version.

The Pakistani floor is real value for execution to a brief and worthless for decisions. The guarantees are the most expensive thing on the market once you count your developer account.

03 — Six questions that separate the practitioners from the exporters

Take these to the first call
  1. Which keyword tool did you use, and what did you decide that the tool did not suggest? Why?
  2. What is the claim in our first screenshot, and what is the hypothesis behind it?
  3. Where do the installs in your ‘guaranteed ranking’ come from? Put it in writing.
  4. Which Western agencies have you done delivery work for, and what did they send you as a brief?
  5. Show me a listing you optimised six months ago. Is it still ranking, and what did retention do?
  6. If I send you a brief with the keyword architecture and the screenshot claims decided, what does the price become?

04 — Should you hire an ASO agency in Pakistan?

Honest answer: depends who you are

Avoid if

The gig guarantees a rankingThe deliverable is a keyword spreadsheet with no decision in itYou do not yet have a decision layer and are buying execution firstThe seller cannot say what they decided that the tool did not

Hire locally if

Objections

Fifty dollars for a full ASO package. What is the harm in trying?+

The harm is a keyword-stuffed listing you then have to undo, and if a guarantee is attached, an install pattern the stores will remember. Try it only with no guarantees and no expectations.

Are there really skilled ASO people in Pakistan?+

Yes, and they are among the best-value execution in the world. They are also invisible on a gig listing until you ask questions the exporters cannot answer.

Can we use a Pakistani freelancer after your engagement?+

Yes, and the handover is written as a brief they can run. That is the right use of the market.

Is a Pakistani agency safer than a freelancer?+

It is usually the same freelancer with a company name. Judge the person and the answers to the six questions above.
