The Paris SEO agency with an ASO page

ASO agencies in France · September 2026
France has world-class app companies, a famous video studio that writes about ASO, and almost no dedicated ASO agencies. What ranks for ‘agence ASO’ is Paris search-marketing firms, Eskimoz, Ad’s up, Noiise and their peers, who added App Store Optimization to a menu built for Google. Here is what that produces on a listing, and what to do instead.
Thinking about a French ASO agency? Let me explain what ‘agence ASO’ actually returns.
Gabriel Machuret · September 2026Search for an ASO agency in France and you will notice something quickly: the results are SEO agencies. Eskimoz, Ad’s up Consulting, Noiise, and a dozen Paris and Lyon search-marketing firms, each with a page titled ‘Agence ASO’ that reads like their SEO page with the nouns swapped. France has excellent app companies and excellent product people. It has almost nobody selling App Store Optimization as a core discipline, so the SEO agencies filled the gap. That gap-filling is the problem.
SEO agencies doing ASO fail in a specific, recognisable way. Google indexes the open web and ranks pages on hundreds of signals, including links from other sites. The App Store and Google Play index a closed catalogue and rank apps on a small set of signals the developer controls, title, subtitle, keyword field, plus signals the developer earns: conversion, ratings, retention. There are no backlinks. Apple barely reads the description. The first screenshot decides more installs than every paragraph of text combined. An SEO team applies its instincts and produces a keyword-dense long description, a content calendar, and a monthly visibility report. Competently. And none of it moves the levers the stores use.
Then there is Apptamin, which I want to treat separately because it is genuinely good. Apptamin, based in the south of France since 2012, makes app preview videos and trailers and publishes one of the better ASO blogs in the industry. A lot of French founders find the blog, conclude the video is the ASO, and commission one. It is not. A preview video is watched by a minority of visitors in most categories, and a beautiful video on a listing with a weak title and an untested first screenshot changes very little. Creative should follow the test, not lead it. Apptamin is step four. The French market keeps buying it as step one.
The third French pattern is the ‘référencement’ frame. Because the French word for SEO, référencement, has been extended to cover app stores, clients arrive expecting a ranking service in the Google sense: submit, optimise, monitor, report. The agencies oblige, and the retainer is structured around monitoring, because monitoring is what SEO retainers contain. The listing gets its real changes in month two and its visibility report every month after.
There is also a quiet cultural preference for the big agency. French companies like a well-known name with a Paris office, a proper contract and a project manager who speaks their language. That is reasonable. It also means the retainer funds a Paris office and a project manager, and the person who understands the App Store, if there is one, is a specialist somewhere in the building, on a roster.
Against that: one consultant who has never done SEO, does not make videos, and does only the store. The teardown in the store, not on Google. The rewrite of the fields the stores actually rank. One screenshot test. The handover, with dates. If the test shows your category rewards motion, I will write the brief for a video with a proven message, and you can commission it from Apptamin knowing it is built on something that already works.
To be fair to the French market: if an SEO agency already runs your website well and your app is a companion to a larger brand, a light ASO pass from the same team keeps things simple. And Apptamin is an excellent studio once your message is tested. If your app is your business and the listing is what needs work, the search results are pointing you at the wrong discipline. Send me the proposal and I will mark which lines are Google habits and which are store work.
Whatever ASO agency in France you are talking to, the questions are the same: what ASO services actually contain, what they should cost, and whether you need an agency or a consultant at all. The individual agency reviews cover the named players.

Built your app, will ‘accompany’ its growth. A rebuild is always on the menu.

A few exist. They are usually the people the agencies subcontract to.

Objections
It shares a vocabulary and almost nothing else. No links, closed catalogue, conversion-driven ranking, a first screenshot that matters more than any text. SEO instincts produce the wrong work.
They do, and the blog is worth reading. What is on their shelf is video, and video is the last step, not the first. Read the review on this site.
Fair. I work in English and with native French copy where needed. The strategy and the structure do not have a language; the copy does, and I handle that.
A few practitioners, mostly freelance, mostly booked. The agencies that rank for the search term are SEO firms and studios.
